Your trading data stays on your computers
The journal keeps your trades, notes, screenshots and settings on the computer where you use it. If you use the journal on more than one computer, each keeps its own data; nothing is copied between them. We never receive your trading data, and our server has no copy.
What we do keep
- Account: your email address and a securely hashed password (we can't read your password).
- Sierra Chart username: the one you enter, to enable the Parallax Trade Sync study for it.
- Plan: whether you have a trial, a subscription or a lifetime purchase, and when it ends, as reported by our payment provider.
- Computers: for each computer you sign in on, a one-way fingerprint (hash) of its ID and a name shown in your account, so you can manage your devices and so each computer gets only one free trial.
- Records of changes: when your plan, Sierra Chart username or devices change, for security and support.
We don't keep your card details, your trades or your trading results.
Why we use it
To provide what you signed up for: your account, your trial or plan, the study for your Sierra Chart username, and support. To keep the service secure and stop abuse, such as repeated free trials. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Our payment provider (merchant of record): receives your name, email, address and payment details when you buy, under its own privacy policy.
- Supabase (our server and sign-in), in the United States.
- Cloudflare (this website).
- Sierra Chart: receives your Sierra Chart username and the date your access ends, so the study works for you.
These providers may process data outside your country. They act on our instructions and protect it with security measures and contracts suited to their role.
This website
The public pages set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. When you sign in to your account, a necessary cookie keeps you signed in. Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while you have an account. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Records of changes are kept while your account exists, and for as long as tax and accounting rules require. When you delete your account, we delete your account details, Sierra Chart username, plan and devices; we keep only the computer fingerprints used for the one-trial-per-computer rule. Our payment provider keeps its own payment records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example under the Philippines Data Privacy Act, the EU or UK GDPR, or US state laws), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Each customer can see only their own account. Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and access to our systems is limited and protected with two-factor sign-in.
Children
The journal isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; we will tell you about important changes.
